The Olive Mill is situated in the middle of the olive grove on Riverbend Farm. This facilitates processing the olives within 24 hours of picking. In this way we are assured that no defects occur from bad handling or bad storage.
The entire harvest is hand picked, transported to the factory and processed within 24 hours, using a full Oliomio production line imported from Italy in 2004.
The extraction process takes place at temperatures between 25 and 28 degrees, makes use of a leaf and stone remover, a washer, a hammer mill, a double mixer and a 3 phase centrifugal separation process.
