Baliff Lodge was the original dwelling belonging to the Waterboard. The water baliff was responsible for monitoring the water level- and maintaining the canal which feeds water from the Brandvlei dam to all the farms in the valley and on to Bonnivale. The cottage has a spectacular view across the Breede River and the nearby olive grove. It sleeps 7 people in three rooms with a small kitchenette for making tea/coffee and a small fridge. In order to preserve the original building, which had no internal plumbing, the shower and toilet facilities can be found adjacent to the sleeping quarters. A full sized kitchen, pizza oven and braai facilities are available for use a short walk away in the games/entertainment room.
