The olive groves are looking gorgeous at the moment with buds everywhere!

The evergreen leaves of the olive tree can hide the small beautifucal cream-coloured olive flowers. There are two kinds of flowers which are produced: flowers containing both male & female parts, and a staminate flower which only has stamens. Most olive varieties are self-pollinating and the flowers are mainly wind-pollinated.
